Toyota has already stated that it will be unveiling it’s FT-EV II concept at the Tokyo Moto Show. It has now said that it will be adding a sports car to the new models in its showcase. The FT-86 has been designed at ED2, the companies European Centre for design. The car measures 4.16M in length, 1.76M in width and only 1.26M tall. The vehicle has a very low centre of gravity to aid handling and appears to be very aerodynamic.

The interior incorporates the use of zippers to allow buyers to change the appearance. The cockpit is built around the driver and displays attractive red neon instruments with digital readouts and neon lights embedded to give it a futuristic glow.

What makes this different to a lot of the concepts to be unveiled at Tokyo is that this vehicle is not a hybrid or electrically powered one. The cars power comes from a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine manufactured by Subaru. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
