Sixth Generation Sonata on Sale
The all new 2010 Hyundai Sonata has been launched by the Korean automaker. The car began development back in 2005 under the codename YF. The Sonata has been a best seller in the Korean car market since its first inception in 1985. The car did not fare so well in the foreign markets but managed to sell enough models due to its low price and reliability. Hyundai have always struggled to ditch their cheap car image but they have been successful in showing that their cars can match a lot of European cars for price and reliability.

This car, the sixth-generation Sonata takes on board Hyundai’s ‘fluidic sculpture’ design brief. The car sports harmonized sleek lines and makes the car appear very fluid and as if the car is moving whilst standing still. The designers say that the design has been inspired by nature and that nature is the basis of all Hyundai’s future designs.
Going against this train of thought is the power plant. The car will be powered by a 2.0 litre petrol engine with a 2.4 litre engine being added as an option in January.
